They're finally gone
It's hard to believe. The fast ferries have gone to the lowest bidder at something near $20 million. That's $434 million less than the government (read taxpayers) ended up paying for the PacifiCats that weren't fast and simply wouldn't work in B.C. waters.

In his March 23 letter (Imposing their flawed values), G.E. Campbell suggests that when Saddam Hussein is gone, the veneration of Allah and Islamic values will be replaced by adoration of movie stars, professional athletes and the pursuit of purely material interests.

A double standard
Federal cabinet minister Herb Dhaliwal recently accused George W. Bush of lacking statesmanship and not following the wishes of the whole world. These comments pertain to President Bush not getting a U.N. sanctioned 'go-ahead' before invading Iraq.

Recently, I was at Lougheed Mall when a man came over as I was about to get in my car and asked me if I knew that my car was leaking oil.
